Ernest Holmes did not call his text book Science of Brain, it is; Science of Mind.
“Man has compelled nature
to do his bidding. He has harnessed electricity, caught the wind, trapped steam, and made them do his will. He has invented
machines to do the work of thousands. He has belted the globe with his traffic and built up a wonderful civilization; but
in few cases has he conquered his own Soul.” ------------ “The mystics have been perfectly normal
people. They did not think of themselves as mystics----------They have been people like Jacob Boehme, a cobbler, pegging away
at his shoes, who, looking up, saw in the geranium plant the reflection of the Cosmos—the very Soul of God; …….The
teaching of the Mystics has been that there should be conscious courting of the Divine Presence. There should be
a conscious receptivity to it, but a balanced one.” ------ The philosophy of Jesus, Buddha, Plato, Socrates, Emerson,
Whitman, and the philosophy we are writing about today, shall have been rolled up like a scroll and numbered with the things
once thought to be real.”
As adults in this world, at this time, our most
important purpose is to Free Our Minds. We have an inner yearning to know our higher selves, to know ourselves as whole and
holy beings.
Know your, body and Soul/ body and Mind and your relationship to the rest of this relative world.
Just because something was based on factual conditions at some time in the past, does not make it Eternally the Truth.
The Earth is not flat, The world is not our immediate 40 acres, the world is not only this planet, Pluto is not a Planet,
the universe is ever expanding. We can be ever expanding in our understanding of the Divine Creator, God, Goddess, Great Spirit.
Think about what we think about. In order to do this – we must free our minds from the deep grooves of our brain. The
learned ideas and ways of thinking and being. Allow new ideas to replace what does not work. New Thoughts
about God, our world and about our Selves!
